Getting started is one challenge. Building a company that works well, serves customers, and lasts is another.
Build is the continuing-support arm we’re developing for founders with something underway. It is for the decisions, obstacles, and opportunities that appear once an idea becomes an operating business.
Some founders want to expand rapidly. Others want a stronger, more profitable, more independent company. Both deserve thoughtful support.
Work on what is actually holding you back.
A company might need a clearer sales approach, a better product, more reliable production, or the right person in a critical role. A founder might need someone they trust to work through a difficult decision.
Build is designed around those actual needs, rather than a fixed curriculum or a generic growth formula.
Our approach is to understand the problem, bring in relevant experience, agree on useful work, and examine what changes. Founder coaching and specialist support should lead to better decisions and tangible progress.
Build the right company, not someone else’s version of success.
Growth can be worthwhile. So can improving quality, serving a community exceptionally well, creating good jobs, or making a business less dependent on its founder.
We do not believe every company should raise venture capital, pursue an acquisition, or expand simply because expansion is expected.
Build is intended for operating companies whether or not they began with Start, and whether or not they ever become investment candidates.
The goal is a company that works better for its customers, its people, and the founder building it.
